I’ve been trying to think of how I could describe my first trip to Dubai. Before going, I felt nervous, yet excited, but mostly uncertain, as I couldn’t comprehend what it would be like actually going to that part of the world. I will start by saying I Loved it 100%, I felt very safe, and was absolutely surprised at how familiar it felt.
Hey Everyone! It has been snowing here non-stop, and even as I sit here writing, we have just over a foot and it is STILL coming down heavily. We had plans to go skiing today, but alas, it doesn’t look like we will be able to make it up the mountain, as visibility is low and the roads are completely covered! So……looks like we will be playing around here and I’ve been driving Dragan crazy all morning singing, “Do you wanna build a snowman…..”, although Jasper loves when I sing. I can tell. 🙂

I’m loving this warm weather in Dallas and my new LV bag!
Last week I was in the English countryside with Dragan and some friends. This week, I’m in Ohio with my parents. lol. The world is indeed a small place. As those who saw my little video know, I absolutely love England. I’ve always held a fascination with the British and having visited now several times, it lives up to what I expected. There is a formality there that I appreciate because it is so different, but there is also a community that I find very welcoming. Our friends’ kids have the cutest accents and much to my delight ask for “afternoon tea”, and although I discovered this simply means “afternoon snack”, it makes it all the more amusing to have it phrased so sophisticatedly.
This weekend was rather exciting for us as we drove Sunday 4 hours into the middle of France to…………!
Meet and reserve our new puppy! For those who know me, know that I lost my girl Bailey July 29th and that broke my heart. I posted a letter to her in my blog that I went back and read this morning before I could write this. I wanted to wait until I felt more ready, but as I still can’t work here, we decided it was time. Not wanting to have another small dog, as Bailey needs to have that place in my heart, we decided we wanted a Golden Retriever. We went to the breeders’ house and the puppies are only 13 days, so we have reserved a boy, but will pick him out when he’s just a bit older. As I’m going to the US for over a month, this is perfect, as we will get him at the beginning of December. I’m very excited, and although a part of me feels a sense of sadness for moving ahead, I believe it is the right thing to do! I will continue posting on this new adventure and I look forward to sharing our little boy. We were told we have to name our dog with the letter J. Isn’t that bizarre? Something about French law and tradition as it coincides with the year 2014, and although my natural tendency is to rebel against anyone telling me what to do, I think we will try to respect that in honor of our time living here in France. Here are the babies. We did not get to meet the mother as she is with her pups, but here is a pic of the papa! Do you have a Golden? Would love to hear!
For the weekend, I wanted to show 2 different ways to wear a summer maxi skirt in Fall. I love both looks.

Happy Friday to everyone out there! Living so far from “home” can be difficult, and I speak alot about the difficulty of adjusting overseas. Somedays you just want to curl in a ball and read or binge on your favorite show downloaded from the internet in English. Some days I do that, but it’s better to go out. Today has been great as I spoke on the phone in length to my Mom, my sister, and my best college friend, Christi-Anna. These conversations mean so much to me! Yesterday, however, I was feeling super homesick, so I went into Geneva to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte (IS there anything better for homesickness) and do some shopping!
