This past weekend was so rainy and chilly, and although we had a 4 day weekend, we stayed put and enjoyed some refreshing time at home. Saturday we headed into Geneva, as Dragan needed to stop in at Louis Vuitton. They have some AMAZING bags right now, and I’m showing you my favorite below BUT I’m also doing a price comparison to Michael Kors bags, which look similar, but will leave you more money in your pocket! I originally wanted to post this dress in 2 ways, taking it from day to night, but Friday became quite cold and 5 minutes before leaving to shoot the post, I realized I would freeze to death! Continue reading “Geneva in Stripes”
I’ve been thinking today about how much happier I am since making some really wonderful friends! I touched on this on my last post, but some days I can’t believe the change. Of course, I’m still homesick quite often, but I’m starting to finally get my bearings, feel at home, and actually LIKE living here! Making friends in a new culture isn’t always easy, so I’ve thought of some good tips and I realized I should have been better in the past on doing these things as well. Follow my blog with Bloglovin Hey Everyone. On my last post, I demonstrated taking my summer romper into winter with Fur boots, vest and a dose of Glam, but in the same day, I quickly changed the look to be more casual. I simply changed out my fur vest to a boyfriend cardigan, and my boots exchanged from heels to flat over the knee boots! I love this look so much because it is classy and comfortable and great for walking around a city……or a mall. Thanks as always to Jasper for being so perfect in all my photos. I should start a blog just for him. :-)( Continue reading “Romper Look 2”
Hey everyone. 🙂 I hope you are enjoying your Sunday. I just love Sundays as I’ve always viewed them as the most lazy day. In NYC, I always shopped or leisurely walked the city after church, and growing up, we always made Sunday a day for just relaxing with no agenda. As it’s winter, don’t we all just want to stay in a bit more…..cuddle up a bit closer…..and indulge in catching up on movies, shows and books? Well, I know I do!( Continue reading “Je Suis Cozy”
I love Washington DC. I’ve actually visited there twice in 2014 and each time I go, I’m convinced I could live there. The first visit was with Dragan on a layover from Geneva to Columbus in July and this last visit was to spend 3 wonderful nights with my best friend from college, Christi-Anna, that I hadn’t seen for years, since she visited me in NYC. I love Christi-Anna because our lives have taken very different directions, but every time we see each other, we are college girls again…..laughing our heads off and talking so much we don’t actually get anything accomplished. I hope she can visit me here b/c we are so loud, I just can already picture the looks we will get. Haha.( Continue reading “The Double Coat in DC”
Well, the Holiday Season is amongst us, and I want to do nothing but shop. I mean, in addition to spending time with my family, etc. 🙂 I’ve been in the USA for a month now, and although I am ready to go home, I love being able to shop at US prices and am running into the issue of, “how am I going to get this stuff home?!?!?!”. I have been fairly smart and haven’t bought too much, but I WANT alot……don’t we all. ( Continue reading “Holiday Shopping Lists”
Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving. I wanted to take a few moments, while curled up with a cup of coffee, in my fur robe, to give thanks for this past year.
There have been ups and downs, joy and heartache, love and loss, but I’m so grateful to be here and to have the people in my life with who I am blessed.
I’m grateful for a new husband, who is unconditionally kind, massively handsome and completely charming. I’m grateful we are together on this day, on his first Thanksgiving.
I’m grateful for the 10 years I had with my little girl Bailey Marie , who was my saving grace and a joy in my life, and whose loss left a space in my heart, and I’m grateful for the new puppy we will be bringing home for Christmas.
I’m thankful for my wonderful family, who are giving and lovely. I love them.
And for my friends near and far, old and new…….Here are some images from my year that I cherish.
Thanks for reading…..
