Pretty in Pink Day in Geneva with Jasper!

Hello everyone!

Today was the last of our lazy days as Dragan goes back to work tomorrow. We didn’t want to do much, so after Almond Croissants, I made myself go for a run with my friend Miriana and then we decided to head into Geneva. We wanted Starbucks and today was a lovely day for it, with temperatures in the high 50’s and the sun shining overhead! ()The last time we took Jasper into Geneva, he was too timid to walk much, but already we are seeing a huge change in, not only his size, but his boldness. I wanted to share a little bit of it with you , as he is just too cute and the city was beautiful.

I wore my favorite pink coat from J.Crew that I actually bought for our wedding, and although you can’t see it too much, a great sweatshirt from J.Crew that has a glittering embellishment at the bottom to make it a bit dressy. I will put the link below. I always feel so feminine in this coat as the color and cut are very elegant and flattering. Paired with these over the knee boots and jeans, I was casual enough to walk around for a few hours but still felt put together.

Sundays are an interesting experience in Geneva as everything is closed other than some restaurants, hotels and Starbucks. It feels so lazy and quiet, with just a handful of people out strolling casually as though there is nothing else to do in the world. I almost never fail in coming across an American at the Starbucks on a Sunday afternoon in Geneva, I guess it’s just what we do, and I love meeting Americans! This is my opinion, although Dragan agrees, but Americans are just so friendly when you come across them, especially when in Europe, you just know. 🙂 I walked out and saw Dragan talking with a nice looking older man, who said “HI!” and I felt at home. As we entered into easy conversation, we discovered he and his wife are here visiting from Minnesota their daughter who just moved here with her husband, who we soon met when they came out of Starbucks…….could this be a new friend???? Is that creepy to want that??? Anyway, we walked around for a bit after our conversation and Jasper made a new friend! Look how cute he is with his big Golden friend!

He’s so fun to go around with as people seem to get so much joy seeing a puppy and are always running up to pet him, or tell us about their golden retrievers who have maybe passed away or are back home while they are here on vacation, or wanting a photo of him with their kids…….and that makes ME so happy. He laps it up and usually gives the kiddies a kiss. He even has learned how to do a perfect pose for the camera…….check it out…… he is just casually gazing over old Geneve.

For those who don’t know, we named him Jasper b/c in France it’s the law that you must name your dog with a specific letter for each specific year in which they are born, and 2014 was the year of the “J”. The breeder even told us if we couldn’t think of a name, we could just put a j’ ………and whatever we wanted, and we toyed with J’bob after my dad, or j’bill, but in the end chose Jasper. Ha! Oh, the French. 🙂

Anyway, we had a great day and I wanted to share it with you. Geneva is such a clean and picturesque city, it really feels as though you are at DisneyWorld. It’s pristine and I hope most of you will have a chance to visit at some point! Until then, if there is anything you want to know or see, let me know! Here are some more of our pics! Enjoy!
